my air purifier has been showing elevated pm2.5 levels the last couple of days. that's even with windows closed. are the wildfires still burning? or is this something else? I checked the air quality map and there is a lot of orange and even some red in southern Ontario but I don't see anything about it in the news.

#Ontario has issued an alert bout air quality. It's forest fires again.

Here we go again. #airquality is rapidly deteriorating in Toronto and will get much worse soon. Look what is happening to the west of us already.
Stay safe, folks. Get indoors, close windows and run air purifiers if you have them.
stay indoors, people and if you absolutely must go outside wear a N95 mask.
@herid
Unfortunately they are, you can get a radar and forecast here:
@TWDickson thanks!
@herid do you have a link to that nice hour by hour breakdown?
@TWDickson yes. it's on the federal government website:

@herid Yup. This surprised me, when I started getting alerts from my air quality monitor again this weekend. Those high red levels are from when we opened the windows, and the low green levels are from windows closed. Usually our indoor air quality is best with windows open.
it's happening again so I checked the map again.

lots of red (= unhealthy air quality) in #Toronto. nothing in the news about it. I guess this is the new normal?
