We are all aware of the recent controversy surrounding RHEL and CentOS. At the same time, Ubuntu has been introducing some controversial changes, such as the snaps, LXD, and restrictions on updating through apt repositories (Ubuntu Pro with 'esm-apps'). As a result, I have concluded that Debian #Linux is the best choice for those seeking a reliable & secure Linux distro that avoids such drama. Of course, there are other candidates, like Alpine. Arch is good, but I hate to use it on servers.

@nixCraft Despite its association to RedHat Fedora is still pretty good. more up-to-date than Debian. But not as bleeding edge as Arch. Linux Mint is also good
