The anti-cheat problem in games highlights the lack of creativity in tackling cheats. Why is ‘invading user privacy’ the first solution?

@chiefgyk3d that and I've yet to see any anti-cheat work in any effective manner, every game that I play that has anti-cheat has a gigantic cheating problem and it's running joke that the anti-cheat is just like the character skins, purely cosmetic

@kingslayer69O69 @chiefgyk3d Part of the mass cheating problem might be ban waving. Instead of kicking every time they find someone cheating. They wait for a bunch of people then do a mass kick to prevent the cheat creators from account spamming their way through the AC. There's a video clip of @PirateSoftware talking about Blizzard doing that.
