I saw that one in a movie theater with my dad when I was 10-12. years old. I had asked him to take me.
As we exited the theater, I remember my dad asking me "Did you understand anything at all of this?"
I answered yes, feeling a bit sorry for him because he obviously didn't.
(I'd read the book (translated) - I was an early and ravenous reader with a taste for sf)
