Help #mastodon ! I'm thinking about getting a new hobby and was wondering whether #astrophotography might be worth trying. Anyone have any good advice for someone looking to taking this past time up from scratch?
Is it straight forward and can someone with no experience in using a #telescope pick it up quickly enough to enjoy it?
Not even looked at the cost of it but thinking about the possibility of taking a picture in space intrigues me! #photography #Space #stars #planets #wales
@milesorchard I got into it 25 years ago with a manually tracked 4 1/2 inch reflector and an SLR film camera. Its certainly moved on since then but you can buy affordable GOTO telescopes and hook up a phone or DSLR to get going. Clearly it scales about as far as your budget allows!
