I agree. Same for the "traditional" services in most #UMC #methodist churches, which is where I currently hang my hat most Sundays. Follows the church year even if not as directly from the RCL, unlike #episcopal and does deal with a range of human feelings. Which is a good part of why currently I choose to #BeUMC, despite deeply loving formal Episcopal high church / broad church liturgy.

Not a fan of the contemporary services which even though are kinda-sorta proper "service of word and table", often omit any creed, and praise band music often has questionable theology.
