I'd like a dedicated GPU that will be dedicated for a new #Linux desktop. Which one should I get?

I know I'd like an Nvidia one because of CUDA so I can use the Python scientific/ML stack, generate cute AI images, and so on.

I will also be using it with #Open3D.

I'm now mostly considering a 3060 Ti because of its low power usage. Is that enough? Would a 3070 or 3070 Ti give me much more for this use case?

#pc #gpu #nvidia #cuda #machinelearning #ml #pydata #python #pytorch #scipy

@ambv depends on the budget ;) If you think seriously about ML then go for 3080. 3060Ti: 4864 CUDA cores, 8GB RAM; 3080: 8960 CUDA cores, 12GB RAM, 3080Ti: 10240 CUDA cores, 12GB RAM. I'd go with plain 3080.
