So, story about my time in DC: Once, I sat in a coffee shop near where CPAC was held that year, by myself, basically minding my own business. Suddenly, the coffee shop filled with literally dozens of 16-year-olds in suits and khakis.

I, a man wearing a hoodie and ironic T-shirt as I basically always do, was trapped in a small coffee shop full of young conservatives dressed like they were going to do my taxes. It was one of only two times I was afraid of my surroundings in DC.

I think this was like 2010 or 2011. CPAC has become even more bizarre in the years since.

Regarding this story: Why do they hold this event full of rakes every year if they insist on stepping on the rakes? thedailybeast.com/michael-know

Michael Knowles has already threatened to sue a friend of mine who writes for Rolling Stone over an accurate description of what he said. He should not be allowed near any rakes.

@ernie maybe he should just be surrounded by rakes 24/7
