There’s been a lot of chatter lately about declining standards of dress in Congress and the White House. I’m standing firmly on the side of the T-shirts and hoodies crowd. tedium.co/2023/05/24/casual-we new @tedium@ernie.tedium.co

“That even people at the highest levels of power feel compelled to bend the rules suggests that John Fetterman will not be the last Senator wearing a hoodie during a press conference.” tedium.co/2023/05/24/casual-we

@ernie Are people still talking about this shit?

Thomas Jefferson met with the ambassador from Britain in his nightshirt because it was his country, not the British's, so he could dress as he pleased.

Not only is showing up in a damn hoodie a non-starter, choosing your outfit is part of the American tradition. Folks need to get over themselves.

@mtomczak You would think it’s not a big deal, but it keeps coming up—on both sides of the aisle, honestly.
