I’m mostly fine without Markdown support on #Mastodon, however, for code, it would be great:
– No need to escape @, #, and URLs in some manner.
– Monospaced font where it’s easier to distinguish (e.g.) I and l and |
– Syntax highlighting (not as important)

@rauschma I'm actually using a server that supports Markdown. Details of how / what would need to be done to support that on someone's server, I do not know.
