This is so cool! Instead of using the traditional approach of targeting already existing amyloid beta plaques, these researchers developed antibodies against truncated forms of soluble amyloid beta, virtually opening the door towards creating a vaccine against 's disease. There's still a long way to go, as the results need to be replicated in humans, but it's one of the more promising approaches I've seen recently.
