#YIL (yesterday I learned) about this weird fact:
if you start with
1
and at every step count the max number of repeated blocks at the end and append that number, like this:
1 1 2 1 1 2 2 2 3 1 1 2 ...
there's a proof that a 5 will appear at some point in the sequence.
but only after some 10^(10^23) steps. 🤯
I'm interested in math, computer science, physics ...
1) carpe diem
2) there's nothing as practical as a good theory.
