I've been seeing a lot of UIs lately w/ grayed-out icons or buttons that still work. What's with that? Visual indicators that an option is (or is not) disabled are just as essential as ever. And don't get me started with text links that have zero indication that they're a link.🙄

@allenholub Mystery meat UI has become hip again; 40 years ago knowing how to use it showed you belonged to a technical community, and now it shows you know how to use Instagram. A user community with tight enough cohesion can overcome even the worst UIs.
