@rdaily Click on “edit” after uploading your image to write a description. You can also select which part of the picture will be visible in the preview crop!
@operaimmagine tried this and the OCR function does not work for me on the OS and browser combo I am using. Will try to find time to figure out what is wrong...
@rdaily Just tried it, and it didn't get text from the picture for me either. What you can do is select "edit" on a post without alt text , remove the image, re-upload it to the same post, write a description of the picture and publish it again.

It's really easy to add. Just click either Edit or 'No description added' after attaching the file, and then usually 'Detect text from picture' can do most of the work for you on a picture like this.
