You could look at info on the Johns Hopkins Center for Prevention of Gun Violence (Bloomberg School of Public Health) web page. They have lots of interesting research and do advocacy. I am particularly impressed by one staffer working to help state governments pass red flag laws (ERPO).
It is disgusting that anyone could vote against ERPOs, as if there were any value to letting people identified as extreme risks to themselves and/or others retain firearm possession.
