Here’s a #mastodon #etiquette question from a new user:
Given the emphasis on #accessibility, what is the preferred way of sharing #code snippets? On the old site I would have used a screenshot or a generated image.
I could also paste raw #python code into a post. I saw there was some discussion on the Mastodon GitHub about introducing code formatting, but it sounded like that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon.
What do people who have been here longer prefer?
@Dwflanagan adding the code as the ALT text of an image snippet is a very good solution that I’ve been using elsewhere and will be using here
