Saying whether non-male contributions are worth it on the Fedi is really ... an interesting hill to choose to die on.

Your contribution is that of a moral busybody as described by C. S. Lewis in this article:
puritanboard.com/threads/c-s-l

Irrespective of their factual merit any argument hijacked by moral busybodies becomes unbearably obnoxious.

One must take great care not to let the toxicity of moral busybodies spill over to the causes and people.

Illustrative example:
The street signs at last year's Chaos Communication Camp,
used as pretext to celebrate famous non-male scientists.

WELL, ACTUALLY,
it's more like another example of self-righteous moral busybodies making their obnoxious presence known
— and thereby their "arguments" revulsive —
to anybody,

So I made some stickers to
"take over" the camp
in the name of the most meritorious female scientist of all,
whom the moral busybodies didn't mention because it doesn't fit their "cause",
namely,
to make themselves AND the "cause" a nuisance for everybody.

If an "awareness team" of obnoxious moral busybodies force me to kowtow before their twisted cause, they make me feel hate and revulsion even towards Lynn Conway,
who, were it not for moral busybodies, is unquestionably one of the greatest heros in my professional field.

If only all admins and content moderators had the good sense and responded with

"This is a purely technical project. As such, it is not an appropriate arena to advertise your personal politics or religious beliefs. Any changes that appear ideologically motivated will be rejected."

to moral busybody fucks anywhere and everywhere.

Gotta pick your hill to die on.

@tatzelbrumm You, too, have missed the whole point that it's not about language or morals. It's about assuming "he/him" as the objective, rational, unpolitical pronoun, whereas "they/them" is not only ideological and political but downright irrational. And that's simply wrong and a lazy way to excuse oneself to acknowledge any kind of discrimination against others, painting one's own position as the one of objective, factual truth that can't be debated.
