Tried to get through to someone who used to be in the LA artsy/burner crowd and went deep red in Arizona.
Can't get through to them without them getting offended when you remark that Idiocracy has become a documentary.
@tatzelbrumm I do actually hate the "Idiocracy" line. We live in the Flynn effect; and ideological opponents are rarely dumb, but sometimes evil. It's better to ask why people aren't paying attention rather than assume they're too deficient to do so. The answers are much more useful.
