As we get closer to the election the gaslighting of everyone who lives in the 43 states and territories which aren't swing states is just a barrage gaslighting and people will literally threaten violence if you point out this fact that almost everyone knows.
"YOU HAVE TO VOTE!" Sure, if you live in Wisconsin, etc. If you live in Oregon, or Alabama, or any state with a winner take all electoral college, your vote for president is basically meaningless. Down ballot is always a thing, sure, but even that's often largely rigged before the paper got to you.
I wish we'd just be honest about this, but if we were honest about this, and so many other things about our political system we'd realize it's intolerable and then we'd have to actually *do* something. We'd have to *change* something. It would be hard.
