Well, I have my computer more-or-less functioning again. However, along with many happy memories, I have brought a cold back from my trip. I will look at your idol list and prepare another lesson over the course of this week. It also time to organize our first (online) meetup! Expect some planning posts soon.
But, to keep your appetites up, I will share this tidbit I came across while filling some shocking gaps in my TWICE library.
According to whoever did this annotation to the lyrics of The TWICE Song, the ending "-지" (as begins "지효") can be used as a verb suffix to mean "*verb*, right?" Which our girls turn into a very witty piece of wordplay.
Just think: if we keep working at this, entire new kinds of puns will be available to us.
It's kind of brilliant! It introduces them with their name and something to remember them by, reminds you of their title tracks, and makes all kinds of puns, all in two minutes.
It's quite a dense little piece of literature, in spite of being so fun and goofy.
@tdhssh yea lol
