@drdrowland just a suggestion to get around that : use the a.gup.pe service. for example like this @fediscience @a.gup.pe @fediscience ... i'm trying to do more of that , see how it works. Theoretically it will produce a cross instance searchable "hashtag"
@tonic @fediscience can you estimate what fraction of all posts end up searchable like this?
the point being that the bulk of the activity ought to be present.
@tonic that fediscience and probably most of the fediverse are making design decisions that reduce post visibility.
