how does one ethically hire and implement strategies from contract marketing firms to increase their social media reach?
what cost-free programs are currently operating that enable those without the ability to pay for the potential of increased social media reach to do so?
do we want the only people that have access to help increasing social media reach to be those who have enough money to pay for it?
@drdrowland it’s a time consuming process , but basically not a secret : lots of sincere / genuine engagement , reach out to people , literally ask for follows and likes … is it awfully cringeworthy ? Yes. But that’s just how to do it.

I appreciate that Mastodon is less about accumulating favorites and boosts than Instagram where every user is a brand worthy of professional-level data tracking to get more engagement. Here, I find I'm more compelled to look at the content because the metrics aren't visible below the post. That's how I found your account, @drdrowland! :)
