Probably bad idea in re. ICE raids

Deny service.

1) Get as many American citizens who "look the part" to get their passports. (proof of citizenship)
2) have them on their person, and sit at houses targeted for raids
3) refuse to answer questions
4) get arrested. Get processed. Clog the system
5) proof of citizenship located during body search
6) put on your trollface

Thoughts?

@wmarshall
I'd think straight-up brutality or your citizen documentation "disappearing" would be the bigger risk.

The right to refuse to answer questions, including "are you a citizen" has been upheld time and time again. All you're really required to do (in some states) are give your name and date of birth.

Hell, there's YouTube channels of people doing that daily on their commute through checkpoints.

@r000t You have some strange presuppositions about the criminal justice system, but given that you are tooting about this to begin with, I must assume that you have a conspiracy-theorist mindset when thinking about ICE. Maybe it would help if I reminded you that ICE only detains and deports persons who they have the legal authority to detain/deport. If you pose as an illegal immigrant, you will probably be jailed and deported with the rest of them. And rightfully so. And when you crack and cry "I'm an American citizen don't deport me" you will just be digging yourself into a deeper hole. On the whole, I'd suggest just allowing ICE to deport persons who have broken the law, and I'd suggest that you advise your comrades in Africa and South America that they wouldn't be deported if they pursued legal immigration
