Today I spent ~2 hours rewriting something to be very efficient and clever, and now it takes over 6 times longer to run.

I think this will be the first port of call for my students to learn git, Makefile for reproducibility, ideas behind CI and testing etc. ; and there's now whole sections on communication, management and ethics. A great resource!
