What exactly does it mean if someone “favourites your status”? Since starting here on Saturday I’ve been using the star a bit like the like button on Twitter, but people seem to use it much less and differently here - and then, yes, the phrase seems to suggest something else?

@pvonhellermannn apparently on the bird site a like was counted and a lot if likes also boosted the post. On here liking a post just tells the poster you liked it, only boosting it increases the chances of others seeing it🤷‍♀️
