Mike Pence is an example of toxic Christianity. We should have freedom of religion, yes, but we must also ensure freedom *from* religion. Your religious freedoms don’t give you the right to deny freedoms or civic participation to others. Period.

@georgetakei Tell me about it. You know what's funny? IRI is killing people in Iran everyday, and leftist Americans don't say anything about it bc they're afraid of spreading islamophobia. I mean it's ok for an Islamic gov. to kill us in the name of God for nice anti imperialist Americans who do not want to acknowledge the atrocities, bc they're like "oh no, of course killing your own citizens isn't worst than US invading Iraq! US is the worst, and if IRI opposes US, then live long IRI!"

@mmehravard @georgetakei Straw man fallacy. The theocratic regime of Iran is hardly a leftist cause.

@AlastairJenkin3 @georgetakei I wasn't talking about the cause. I wanted to outline that people are trying to be inclusive and nice to the point of absurdity. If you want to be conciliatory towards Christianity or Islam, it won't imply that you need to side with them even when their practices are against humanity. In another word, if freedom of speech for a group (e.g. radical Muslims) means no freedom for others, then we must exclude that group from participating in the social dialogue.
