Today is the 82nd birthday of Jerry Lawson (died 2011). He is the inventor of the first commercial video game console with CPU processor (Fairchild Channel F). So it could play software as we still know it today. However, the console Atari 2600, which was launched one year later, was much more successful and sold 100 times better.
