Are you sure there isn't an algorithm on Mastodon, or maybe it's because it just works better without one?
I say this because scrolling through the feed is showing better relevant content than my other social platforms.
When people boost and are interacting it's also interesting to see that going on and if they jump in on my threads it doesn't feel intrusive usually good user experience and new connections.
@richieholland I may be out of my depth here and totally open to pushback, but I feel like the idea that #AI algorithms were used to help us find better content was mostly a myth. They were used to manufacture engagement. If you think about it, just finding people with like-minded interests is a way better way of finding relevant content!
