Matt Gaetz is in the news a decent amount these days because he’s among a handful of extremist Republicans who are playing a significant role in the process of determining who the next Speaker of the House will be. Anyway, here’s the Holocaust denier he invited to be his VIP guest at the 2018 State of the Union address chilling with White Power fascist Richard Spencer.
In 2019 Gaetz hired Darren Beattie, who had just been FIRED BY THE TRUMP WHITE HOUSE FOR HAVING TIES TO WHITE NATIONALISTS. The dude was too much of a racist for Trump and his people, so Gaetz was like “let me help this poor guy out.” These days Beattie and Gaetz frequently appear together on podcasts and such. In November 2020, after he’d lost the election, Trump trollishly appointed Beattie to serve on a European Commission devoted to preserving the history of the Holocaust. This was 3 months after Beattie had retweeted a story about an August neo-Nazi march in Berlin with the word "Beautiful."
