Man, this post is gonna upset some folks. But let me say this explicitly, just so that it's clear where I stand on this stuff. My politics are definitely left of center overall (as the center is defined today -- this of course is a moving target).
However, having said that, my observation is that there is plenty of stupidity and intolerance to go around on the parts of both the Far Left and the Far Right, and the fact that the Far Right is so obviously deeply evil and fascist doesn't exempt the Far Left from their own notable shortcomings.
Just my personal opinion of course. Feel free to hit that Block button now! -L

I'd prefer to know more about who on the left side is doing stupid things, so I'd be perfectly okay with an increase in volume on that topic. Not for attack purposes; I'm only a couple of inches away from being a socialist myself, but so I can be prepared to counter stupid things when I happen across them.
