For those who are computer-ignorant, PCMCIA stands for "People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms."
(Yeah, I know it's not really an acronym, but didn't want to ruin the joke.)
@janeadams
Power to the people!
It happened. I was going to buy the cutest cute map print scarf on Etsy, but then saw that it was Mercator projection and changed my mind 😅 #nerdAlert #mapstodon #GIS #maps
Where my dymaxion projection scarves at?? 🗺️
@idoubtit
Just had that for the first time about a month ago, and I agree-- it seemed just the same as the alcohol version to me too. They did a really great job with it! I'd be interested to see what they can do with Harp.
The only other NA I know of that's as close to the original is Heineken.
@zebrachair
Yet another reminder that I really need to get around to reading that book!

Even though I do love seeing things like that, are the rear flippers providing enough propulsion to make up for the added weight of the assembly?
Turns out the existence of an "alpha" wolf is a myth.
It was based on old/bad experiments, conducted when unrelated wolves were thrown together in captivity.
In actual wild wolves, packs are just families. There's no dominant alpha battling for the top spot -- and in the rare cases there is, it's an alpha *female* wolf.
Insert obvious implications for the use of this term in human societies.

Well put!
There is only the present*
It has taken 50+ years for me to get to this point of awakening
All you have of the past is a memory, some words, a video/audio recording. But, these are not the past, they are symbols and pointers
All you have of the future is an approximation of what might happen based on that unreliable past 'memory'
Live in the present moment
*do not take my word for it, find out yourself if you want to
@vwdasher
So a very early El Camino then. 😉 Very handsome!
@minouette
I guess you're not familiar with The Red Green and its Possum Lodge then? And they're Canadian, too!
@bleakfuture
That's a really great idea. Please let us know when one's available!
My almost 13 year old daughter had a good idea. We’ve been talking about doing a podcast together - mostly for us to have.
Her idea was reviewing books that are being taken out of school libraries - discussing the content, reviewing the actual literature but also the reasons it was banned and our thoughts there as well.
This is something I think that we will do, soon.
Junior year high school history summed up for a US presidential candidate.

Also, the Continental Army was plenty stoppable. Like, incredibly stoppable. Big thank you, France.
