Sounds like somebody needs to get out there and poach a few farmers. Here's hoping they decide they like your property!

This American is trying to figure out why that notion seems so familiar, but not quite succeeding.

Up and running and lookin' NICE! "Slow but steady" suits me just fine nowadays. 😉
Given where you live, I bet one of those lightweight single-panel-of-plexiglass fairings might come in handy? And a kill switch hotwire of course. When has anybody ever actually used one of those? 😎
Good job on getting it back on the road!
Well one is at my place! Lynx in France face extinction with population down to 150 adults at most https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/feb/13/lynx-france-face-extinction-population-150-adults-at-most-aoe?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

What a thrill that must have been to see! It's hard to guess the size from the video-- 100kg maybe?
I got to see a big cat in the wild just once, when I saw a puma (aka mountain lion or cougar, which can be 200-plus kg) on my drive to work. My commute took me through a mountainous National Forest every morning well before dawn, so I was treated to quite a variety of wildlife crossing the road ahead of me-- foxes mostly-- caught by the headlights.
I definitely thought about THAT the rest of the day. 😀

I'm not going to worry that much until the softwares start publishing their own newspapers, magazines, and books. Unless they are and nobody told me. 😉

Kymeta to replace Starlink in Ukraine. Pentagon is setting up deal & other NATO countries will join.
Kymeta calls @elonmusk's Ukraine actions ‘egregious’ and 'there’s blood on his hands for that'. They will support SAT services for defensive purposes.
Margaret Atwood responds to the banning of "The Handmaid's Tale" from a high school library.
"How dare I question the school board’s motives? I do dare. After all, it has questioned mine."
@kariido
That right there is a big beautiful CAT! Two extra nosekisses from me today.
@lolennui
Yep, me too.
@SecularJeffrey
Careful, that leaves a real mess. Unfold a newspaper and stand on that.

Glad to meet you! Retired SysAdmin here, so that makes us related somehow. Now get out there and do interesting stuff we can talk about! 😉
Once I retired (about three years ago) I left Windows behind and am now close to 100% Apple tech, too. I'd used it at home for a lot of things in my working days, but now it's the only flavor allowed in the house besides a couple of Linux servers. (Never again having to see a Windows Registry page was my main retirement gift to myself, not that I'm actually opposed to Windows, just relieved to have stuff I never really need to fiddle with).
Looking forward to your observations and views on this and that! Thanks for being here.
