Twitter people are apparently, probably inevitably, using the implosion of Mastodon.lol as an example of why Mastodon doesn't work.
In my opinion, the end of Mastodon.lol is a good example why only one guy shouldn't be in charge of something important.
You'd think Twitter people would get that.

What a thrill that must have been to see! It's hard to guess the size from the video-- 100kg maybe?
I got to see a big cat in the wild just once, when I saw a puma (aka mountain lion or cougar, which can be 200-plus kg) on my drive to work. My commute took me through a mountainous National Forest every morning well before dawn, so I was treated to quite a variety of wildlife crossing the road ahead of me-- foxes mostly-- caught by the headlights.
I definitely thought about THAT the rest of the day. 😀

Glad to meet you! Retired SysAdmin here, so that makes us related somehow. Now get out there and do interesting stuff we can talk about! 😉
Once I retired (about three years ago) I left Windows behind and am now close to 100% Apple tech, too. I'd used it at home for a lot of things in my working days, but now it's the only flavor allowed in the house besides a couple of Linux servers. (Never again having to see a Windows Registry page was my main retirement gift to myself, not that I'm actually opposed to Windows, just relieved to have stuff I never really need to fiddle with).
Looking forward to your observations and views on this and that! Thanks for being here.
