After lurking for awhile, it's time to step forward here and say hello. Hello!
I'm a journalist with ProPublica. I live in Detroit. I wrote a book about Flint's water crisis, and the deeper story of how we make and unmake our cities. I teach creative nonfiction in Alma College's MFA program in creative writing.
I'm always listening for tips, especially ones rooted in the rich stories of Michigan and the Midwest. Know something we should look into? I'm at anna.clark@propublica.org.
Probably the most useful thing here going forward would be for this to work and for everyone get that Trump is really the Speaker.

Former President Trump issues a full-throated endorsement of House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy, hours before Republicans planned to return to the floor to try again to elect a speaker. https://nbcnews.to/3ia8EhF
Angry grandpa just walked over to the kids table, told Cousin Matt to stop shooting milk out of his nose, gave Cousin Andy a smack upside the head and menacingly yelled yet another warning about putting boogers on other kids plates when they're not looking, and pointed over at Cousin Marjorie (who had a pea shooter hidden under her folded hands on her lap) as a positive example they should all follow.

I am interested in Scottish independence, satire, good humour, furry animals and philosophical musings.
I am anti-Tory and pro-trans/LGBTI so if that offends you please leave me alone.
Hi I’m Chris. I’ve wandered to spend time with remote communities in the Amazon, spent time with the Hadza I’m Tanzania and have visited every continent apart from Antarctica.
I love spending times in the mountains and camping in the woods.
I started Couch to 5k, about a year ago, and decided to keep going to 50k. Now I have 4 Ultras booked for next year. 🤦♂️
I’ve been paid for taking photos, but that’s on hold while I get settled in to my new home Dundee.
Hey friends - I am in Antarctica with extremely slow and limited internet and I have a book coming out this year that I'd normally be posting more about because pre-orders are *critical* to a book's success.
Help me get the word out?

The Wilson Cycle Illustration
A much better picture of the Wilson Cycle with a volcanic island arc and double subduction for your enjoyment. All the details are beautifully labelled. Gorgeous work, and the Wilson cycle still fits.
