So #JeremyRenner a freaking #Avenger gets run over by a snow plow and is in critical condition and #DamarHamlin an #NFL player nearly becomes the first player to die on the field (maybe he technically did?) and I can't find a single toot about either.
These seem like pretty significant events dealing with two of the largest entertainment properties on the planet; yet Mastodon clearly isn't the place to discuss them... Not a good sign tbh.

@Beeks It's because you're only following 23 people. There's no algorithm shoving content in your face. You have to cultivate your timeline by following people who share the same interests as you do.

Start with your Damar Hamlin hashtag there. Click/tap on it. There's 127 people talking about it right now according to my screen. Go through those and start following people who share the same interests as you.

Do the same for all of your interests and soon your timeline will be overflowing with the news and info you're interested in and not the info that a billionaire or a huge company somewhere wants you to see first.

@BE I searched for the hashtags and my app came up blank. When I click the hashtag I posted I get hits so I just have to post first, then use my post to search.

I saw elsewhere on your profile, and responded, about apps and browser. I just don't know enough about Tusky to help, but, I promise it's all out there and ongoing you just have to connect to it!
