I understand why quote tweeting/posting isn't a thing over here (please, for the love of god, that means do not explain it to me), but I'm finding it's actually stifling my engagement. There are so many times I go to QT something, realize I can't, and just opt not to post instead of using a workaround.

It does sound like they'll be more available someday, but many instances already have that ability. You could change instances if it were really worth it to you. I have the ability and don't use it, so I guess it really depends on your usage.
