It’s sad how people have been led to believe that getting COVID-19 - repeatedly - is inevitable. I recently told some colleagues that I’d never had COVID-19 and they were amazed. So we had a chat about how effective a N95 mask can be, and one of them bought some 3M Auras to wear. 😷💪
@DrZoeHyde wonderful! My friends &co-workers think it's astounding I haven't caught it yet, but none seem to be willing to try to avoid more infection. They think I'm eccentric for masking in a kn94 mask on mass transit, in stores, at work & in crowded outdoor spaces. Meanwhile, tho, they & their fams all caught it at least once, their kids now getting hard-to-clear strep, RCV &/or colds, several have lingering symptoms, & their parents in several cases have been hit hard by covid infections
Yes, exactly this. Even my scientist friends largely won't even consider the idea of wearing masks everywhere. The repercussions of that decision are very noticeably piling up on them and their families and they, somehow, don't see the link when I tell them that myself, wife and kids haven't had so much as a runny nose in years. They just kind of chuckle and move on.
