I never posted much about my crafty pursuits, giving it a shot here. If people are interested I'll toot more like this.
This is a quarter sawn oak bowl that I finished with pure carnauba wax, applied using a paper towel patch and enough pressure to melt it into the pores as well as polish it to a mirror sheen.
It's a big difference from my usual standby - friction polish with Boiled Linseed Oil, Shellac, and alcohol.
@dko Im here for it. I was just out in the shed trying to talk myself out of using a plunge router clamped in a bench vise so some well thought out work is welcome in the feed.
