Maybe I haven't found my people yet, but #mastodon doesn't feel very inclusive. Before you scream at me, @ me or block me. Hear me out.
Most of the posts I am seeing are not very welcoming of people coming from #twitter and very critical of other topics I seem to be interested in.
I mentioned in another TooT? Did I say it right? That it is like reddit in the old days. In this regard it seems to be true as well. Reddit used to be very wary of outsiders. Not very inviting.
Hi there SocietyMatt! Welcome to Mastodon! One thing I highly recommend that will boost your posts to like-minded people who follow tags farther is to use hashtags with context.
I have been a #reddit user since Aaron Swartz (gods rest his soul). I'm also a huge #scifi fan and think cancelling #Firefly was a tragedy. Also, about #elon, I have no idea what his endgame is, but it can't be good.
