Is there a way to see which servers have blocked or muted qoto? I realize not being seeing that many posts from people I follow who are on other instances and I’m told that they are not able to see me any longer. It’s also rather strange to be on waiting-lists for people I regularly interacted elsewhere. My main motivation to come over here was to keep in touch with all those fine people I like but left Twitter, and to find a much more friendly space.
Turns out I either have to leave qoto (which I really like) and switch to a server which is more rigorous in blocking others (WTF) to keep in touch with friends. Or I just leave the fediverse at all and leave it to those feeling morally superior (WTF)

@Ekynos Mir hat grad netterweise jemand auf Twitter geschickt, dass einer der CH-Server qoto geblockt hat, „weil alle den blocken!!“ (following fediblock). Und jetzt weiss ich noch nicht
@CerstinMahlow @Ekynos Oft wird ja ein Grund angegeben. Bei der – sehr entföderierfreudigen – mastodon.art-Instanz ist das: Qoto.org föderiert mit Instanzen wie Gab und Kiwifarms. Das dürfte für einige Admins eine harte Linie sein.

@katzentratschen @Ekynos Ah, Danke! qoto selbst blockt keinen Server (4 sind gemutet), können ja user selbst entscheiden - was ich sehr sympathisch finde weiterhin. Aber das ist dann die Retourkutsche von anderswo
@CerstinMahlow @Ekynos Genau. Qoto.org ist sozusagen das andere Extrem. Föderiert auch mit den schmuddeligsten Schmuddelecken des Netz voller Gruppen-Trolle mit Cyberstalking, Doxxing und Mobbing, Alt-Right, QAnon und mehr. Zwischen nix tun und Block/Sperre gäbe es ja noch Einschränken/Silencing, was aber nicht genutzt wird.

@jjssto @CerstinMahlow @Ekynos Sehe ich auch so. Schwierig finde ich hingegen das »Blocken by Proxy« als Druckmittel. Und dieses wie jenes Vorgehen ersetzt auch Moderation nicht. Sonst blocken sich irgendwann alle gegenseitig und ihr Paradies ist trotzdem voller Müll.
