This evening, in a business meeting of a society, some strange statements have been made:
(1) Someone said, the society has been up and running for 15 years now.
(What? That’s pretty long, isn’t it? So it exists since, I don’t know, the late 1990s?)
(2) She also referred to 2008 as the founding year.
(Yeah, I remember that! This was like 5 years ago, right?)
So, somehow, it doesn’t add up:
It has been 5 years since 2008, right? But we’re in 2023, not in 2013? Did I just lose 10 years? How old am I?
