Könnte man zum nächsten Sommer-Interview nicht vielleicht auch mal einen islamistischen Hassprediger einladen? Und die Tagesschau könnne vielleicht parallel dazu über Mode und Burka aufklären. Ich bin sicher, nach drei Monaten Beschallung dieser Art hätten die meisten Deutschen volles Verständnis für islamistischen Terror und die Frauen würden anfangen sich zu verhüllen. What? Ja, so funktioniert das mit dem Einfluss der Leitmedien. Und derzeit tun die genau das mit dem ganzen Nazi-Content der AfD.

@dbellingradt Been there; 8 Jahre befristete Stellen mit einer venia in Philosophie. Die ich jetzt wohl abgeben werde. Seit diesem Sommer bin ich "raus" aus #academia, und ich merke jetzt erst, was für ein Gefängnis es war. Tolle Themen, intellektuelle Selbstverwirklichung, jajaja, aber zu meiner großen Freude und Erleichterung gibt's das auch anderswo. Halt anders. Aber dafür anständig entlohnt, ohne diese ständige Entwertung der Befristung, mit klaren Aufgaben, und am allerbesten: Feierabende!

Who knows a web service that analyzes privacy concerns in web pages? I am looking for a site that checks for trackers, advertisements, etc. In web sites. Something like what @exodus is doing for Android applications. Suggestions and boosts are welcome.

* It's instant, purely client-side, and has no ads or upsells.
* It has a variety of color, shape, and logo embedding options.
* There's PNG and SVG export.

The included logo selection is, let's say, "opinionated" and features lots of familiar faces if you enjoy federated social platforms. 😄

So, just now I learned that you can convert miles to kilometers with the Fibonacci sequence?

A mile is 1.609 kilometers.

The Golden Ratio, the ratio between Fibonacci numbers as they get large, is 1.618.

So, within about 1%. And large doesn't need to be that large, it's actually pretty accurate from about 8 onwards.

5 miles is 8 km.
21 miles is 34 km.
89 miles is 144 km.

etc etc.

Kinda neat IMO.

Doch viele #Fediverse-Bewohner vermissen die Posts von diesen Accounts. 🤔 So geben diese #Hochschulen zwar noch Meldungen über #X (ehemals #Twitter) heraus, aber kaum auf #Mastodon.

Dabei warten Tausende möglicher Follower im #Fediverse. Und mit guter Software ist das Bespielen beider Kanäle so einfach, wie z.B. mit buffer.com. Wir stellen deshalb heute zur Abstimmung:
