到底为什么??

In China, queers who are active on the Internet are middle school students, university students and people who just graduated from universities. They are very young. Who I refer to are people who identified themselves as queers. Most of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and trans have no idea what queer is and cisgender people of them may be anti-trans. There are queers who are elder but they seldom take part in the public online communities. And most of them may be well-educated middle-class and have been studied abroad because unprivileged people especially who are elder or haven't gone abroad have nearly no access to queer culture. Among queers, liberalism is always thought to be the only political philosophy which support queers or trans. Some people equal queer with liberalism. The majority of other leftists are somehow incels in communities full of men and they are notorious.

In the past there was no gender-specific pronouns in Chinese. "他" could be used to refer to all human beings. In the 1910s, China was facing colonialization and some scholars thought that gender-specific pronouns was beneficial to promote women's liberation. In the first place, it was only about translation from English and other languages to Chinese. They thought gender-specific pronouns are standards of modern civilization and must. Until now lots of people still believe in this. That's really irritating. They replaced the radical which means "people/human" in "他" with the radical which only means "women", coined "她" to refer to women and made "他" special for men. Then the nightmare for feminists and trans people in China began. Dating back to the first half of the 20th century, plenty of leftists and people who wished to get rid of invasion even thought Chinese characters should be repealed and replaced by the Latin alphabet. Though Chinese characters remain, the coining of gender-specific pronouns really brought nightmare to us. It's difficult to repeal it again. Nowadays, most of Chinese feminists are separatist terfs and they are unwilling to give up gender-specific pronouns. Some others also think that giving up gender-specific pronouns is somehow make concession to men. The majority of queers prefer coining a new character/pronoun to repealing gender-specific pronouns. No matter what their viewpoints are, nobody is satisfactory with gender-specific pronouns at heart. Gender-specific pronouns bring endless troubles and quarrels everyday.

Outside the Mainland there are some areas where pronoun is not necessary gender-specific. When the gender-specific pronouns were just coined, there were controversies over this and not everybody agreed. Maybe what's more decisive is the policies after the nation's founding.
