@marielgm Not discrediting your observations regarding access to knowledge circles as it's likely because I didn't have a Twitter account for very long, but my overall experience seems to inversed.

Joining mastadon relative to the bird site I feel like I'm not being pushed hot takes, viral messages, and controversy just for the clout of the authors or businesses. It was actually difficult to find authoritative content without always hunting for blue check marks.

I do however agree that there is a large loss for the bird site in the critical areas you mentioned, hopefully those people impacted can continue to contribute to society in a meaningful way - I have no doubt they will.
