Me getting ready to go to a medical conference key in my field: ok, I’m more or less ready to talk to the experts, should be fine (deep breath)
Me getting ready to go to my sons’ school career fair: oh dear, I’m having a massive freak out moment, I know whatever they ask me I’ll say the wrong thing
Don’t underestimate teenagers, they’re very intelligent. But I’ll be fine 😀
I am overly excited because this is my first toot about journal contents and I couldn’t have planned a better start. In this Viewpoint we asked 6 oncologists around the world about their experience with #oncology drug access. We quickly so several common themes emerging. This is sobering, we use the word #crisis in the title but you’ll find some mentions of #catastrophicexpenditure in the main text. Highly recommended #weekendreading https://www.nature.com/articles/s41571-022-00700-7
Hello #MedMastodon here is my introduction: I’m Diana Romero, one of the editors at Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology. I love working in this journal because it gives me the opportunity of learning about #oncology every day and the community is lovely, saying that oncologists really care about what they do is an understatement. I used to do preclinical cancer research. When not editing, you can find me hanging out with my teenage sons, in the swimming pool and sometimes in the local cinema
