@StevenBeschloss Figures Jar-Jar was there. No one is having anywhere near a good time. Maybe the guy sneaking a tall rum & coke...
@ftrain My town was won in a card game, and the town motto is "Named by the turn of a card"
@jurijuri Yes indeed! Nice work

I'm delighted by all the goodies and benefits I happened into on mine here at qoto. The starting text block is at 64K, which is huge in comparison to most, for example. The description page at https://qoto.org/about/more will give you a rundown, and I think you'll be pleased and surprised by the list of features.
Despite the recent enormous surge in activity and memberships, the server is still speedy (as is the administration). I've had zero trouble with any unpleasant characters lurking about. The management is pro-active in handling issues quickly. The underlying reason for its existence is as a science and science education instance, so there are many intelligent and well-spoken folks about.
Even though there are now over 25,000 users, the admin is reachable and responsive.
Hope you check us out!
@jurijuri I was also discussing 16th-18th century political philosophers in the context of developing a semester-long course in the subject. I don't think she had a clue.
@jurijuri Same here. When I was working on my Master's (53), I got in a car accident, had surgery, and was on the couch for 3 weeks. The first draft of the paper I submitted for the class was 90 pages, and was accepted as the final. I had little to do for the next month. I think she went by weight...
If you’re going to leave Twitter, please don’t
a) delete your account, because someone bad will steal your handle
b) delete your Tweets, because their existence doesn’t help Elon and it’s like burning the Library of Alexandria.
Twitter captures a real-time historical record of a couple of decades and the billions of individuals’ snapshots are irreplaceable.
The thought of all those tweets being erased makes me feel physically sick.
[please pass on if you agree.]
Conservatives in Texas have started a website, http://defendkidstx.com, for people to report upcoming local drag shows.
Here’s the link to a list of Texas pastors charged with abusing children this year. You know what to do.

@democracydocket The judge did not seem happy with this lawsuit and I read some judicial snark in the dismissal. I especially liked the part where she requested any sanctions filing against Finchem's LOLyers to be done within 10 days.
Aloha, everyone -
The Litigation Disaster Tourism Hour starts at 16:00 HST/20:00 CDT. Today's topics -
1: The LOLsuit Donald Trump filed against the Pulitzer Committee because of course he did;
2: Elon, Airplanes, Legality and Freezy Peaches.
I explained to the world (ok, to a journalist) that Elon can ban whatever he wants on Twitter, but he's in for a bad and stupid time if he thinks he can sue a kid for posting publicly available flight data.

Teacher, parent to 4-pawed children, and know just enough to be dangerous. Litigation disaster tourist--just along for the ride.

#rorygallagher is the most underrated, unknown guitar god of all time.
The name is how I always understood the line from #T-Rex #bangagong instead of the actual "diamond star halo."
