This is a fun finding. I need to update my biosketch for someone. I tried to login to scienv yesterday. It prompts my login.gov. I put my username and password in. Instead of the security key screen, I next get a screen saying security check failed. No matter what.

Know what I found fixes it? Turning off my ad blocker. Why does my ad blocker need to be turned off for logging into a federal website???

Charlene has been not herself and just nibbled on food for a couple days—something's wrong. This Spring, she had a GI infection that began with the same symptoms.

This morning, I took her to the vet, but they wouldn't diagnose or treat her without a large down-payment on the estimated bill.

A very kind FediFriend donated the down payment, and Charlene will go to the vet in the morning.

Vet's total estimate for diagnosis and treatment is between $485 (covered by a FediFriend's donation) and $920.

The scientists behind the new independent organization Climate.us are the same experts Trump fired because they were researching and reporting on climate change.

Formerly NOAA’s http://Climate.gov, they didn’t disappear. They rebuilt.

Now they’re independent and preserving climate data, outside of political interference, with public support and a team of volunteer scientists.

The university where I have an office is looking for a new University Librarian. It pays quite decent cash money, not in bananas.

I quite like the people who work at this place, so do share with any good librarian exec managers who want an office with three different possum species, many parrots and small birds, and copious quantities of bicycles on campus.
