My Mastodon experiment begins now.

Till Monday morning, I'm off Twitter and will be using Mastodon instead. Let's see how this goes!

If it goes well, I don't mind having a 2 day/week Mastodon only rule.

The thing with Birdsite is that I've put in a lot of effort on that platform and gained some following. Took years to do it.

Now, it's really hard to just let go of it all and move to another platform to do it all over again. Frankly, it's a bit terrifying.

Also goes to show how much I've started to depend on Birdsite. Sigh.

@Memeghnad You can use a cross-poster so that your toots' automatically get posted to Twitter. Then respond and interact depending on what response comes where.

@vimoh no. Don't want to flood content from here on Birdsite. I also feel the nature of Mastodon is a bit different, the audience is different too.

Just like any other SM, I don't think content from here would be suitable for Birdsite.

The question is.

Will Mastodon enable a civil conversation between Indian Conservatives and Indian Liberals.

Or will right wing indians be banned?

@Full_marx @vimoh honestly speaking, couldn't give two shits about that. Tried it for years on Twitter and it just becomes a performance for both parties.
