Education is the basic human right of each and every citizen.
It must be provided by govt with minimum fee so that everyone can afford it.
If you are so worried abt your tax money then ask your govt to not spent 1000s Crores on statues/Advertisements etc.

Government has taken the right decision to increase it to 600rs

The statue that was built was of Sardar Patel.
Sardar Patel in 1947 unified 500+ princely states into what we today know as the union of India.
We need to teach our kids the importance of remaining a union, especially when the southern states have started believing they are 'Lemurians' and not Indians. Absurd.
The legacy of Sardar Patel is always overlooked.
Also Sardar Patel was a Memeber of the Indian Congress not the BJP.

And the problem with right is they post-mortem every statement to justify their nothingness.

Our country faces threats from external players. It’s a “war of the thousand cuts.”

Actively turning groups against each other. Feeding fear mongering.
The enemy knows that if you divide the union of India you reduce its economic strength.
As everyday passes we are becoming a threat to western hegemony.
Nobody likes a rising star.
The statue was important to appreciate the strength of the union and remind people of what we can achieve if we keep aside our ethnic differences.
I doubt many people know that India was created after bringing together 500+ princely states.
