#TIL that my 12yo has not given us the notes she's received at school about upcoming mandatory events. We came *this close* to missing one.
Meanwhile, every teacher wants me to download a different app for communication purposes, I get 50 gazillion emails from the school every week, I'm trying to manage my kid's ADHD *and* mine, Christmas is happening and I can't make it stop, I'm researching for the entire-ass nonfiction philosophy book I'm writing, we need milk, there's laundry, my left hip
flexor hurts, the cats are eating the damn Xmas tree, my potted plants are dying in the garage, my friend's husband has to go to the Mayo clinic, I need sinus surgery, we need to attend a musical and a monologue and a play and a concert and another concert and another play, it's cold, my mom won't stop giving advice I don't ask for, the US is about to be a fascist nation, and the planet is on fire.
But I still feel like a shitty parent who can't keep up with her kid's education.
Ugh.
